7 things that a wedding photographer will never tell you ... - Agna Pelon Fotografie

Surely you were at least once at the wedding, and if you have not seen it, then  you have seen a movie

 about the wedding,

Apart from the bride who is not always beautiful and a crowd of guests, there is always a photographer lurking there.

A man like me and you, with the difference that various straps, sachets, cameras and bags are attached to various parts of his body.

HE is there,

You probably never wondered who it this man feels?

Is  he it stressful? Did he sleep well at night? What did he do the previous day?

Does he even like his job?

Is he in the mood to watch your face?

If you are planning a wedding, then such a man is necessary for you. If you are lucky you have already found him among the billion “best offers” and photos, if you do not get a headache, congratulations. It hurts me every time I open fb.

On most pages you watch, you will not hear or see any of them admit to these 7 things:

1. WE HAVE ENOUGHT…

Sometimes.

You hear well. We also have enough. Clients, phone calls, answering emails, being eternally nice and even have enough to take pictures. But it’s temporary and passes. And who has not passed it, it’s not in the industry anymore, so do not be afraid that you will find its offer.

2. WE ARE FORGOTTING…

If you’re lucky enough to find the honest photographer who will openly admit that he is not just a human being and that he also gets into trouble – take him blind. The virtue of sincerity is almost extinct today. Instead, you’ll get lots of information from every page that they’re the only ones to professionally, seamlessly. I know and who can weather the weather. Unfortunately, as it happens in our lives, most often we can not be sure even ourselves. That’s how I missed the lens (but I had 3 others), so I lost the address – but I was on time, so I forgot to take family photos (once) -MEA CULPA. I confessed to the error and rewarded my clients with the guilt way – nobody complained. Every failure learns something. I never forgot my equipment again, although I still confuse the addresses sometimes.

3, WE’RE AFRAID…

That we will lose the cards, that we will forget the battery, that we will corrupt the photos, that we will print the album badly, that we will not get the order, that the customer will be dissatisfied, that we will burn out …

Yes.

Such human.

4. WE GET TIRED…

I will not charm you.

After a dozen or so hours of work on the run and stress, in total concentration – our body demands rest.

Unfortunately, sometimes it is demanding before the end of the pictures. This is a problem.

But nothing is going to rest, when something happens in the menu every day.

Legs do not want to stand, hands ache from holding the camera, the head breaks from the excess of thought noise.

our concentration falls and the smile escapes from our face.

Please forgive us in advance, we love you very much, we only need 5 minutes for ourselves.

5. WE DO NOT LIKE …

RESPONSIBILITY.

Photographic wedding work carries a high risk of failure. You never know what will happen, what obstacles await us, what people we meet. Everything happens once, there is no chance for a repeat. Everything must be as promised and even better.

That’s why we do not like this burden.

6. WE’RE LIKE TO DO IN OUR WAY …

Yes, your opinion is important to us and we know what effects you expect, but we like to do it our way.

And although we know that your day and that you pay for our time – then we know what is best for you. It’s our profession.

Leave it to us,

and last

7. NOT WITH  EVERY WORK WE ARE PROUD OF …

It would be wonderful if it were – but it is not. Not every wedding has something. We are only human, we have our tastes and not always rational feelings. Some people attach much more to us than others and we can not help it.

Some photographs will be closer to us and we will be more praiseworthy.

Forgive us.

Now you know what we do not admit. Let me not overly generate the environment of my colleagues, revealing these secrets to you.

But I did it for your good to broaden your knowledge.

So that you look at us like a friend and not just at this strange man, laden with cables.
